Angela Guerra Flores attended St. Mary's University and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Public Justice in 1999.  As an undergraduate student, she served as Vice-President of the Public Justice Student's Association, Secretary of the Peer Educators Association, Vice-President and Special Events Coordinator of the Psychology Club, Member of the Psi Chi Honor Society in Psychology, Member of the Theta Phi Omicron Honor Society, Charter Member of Alpha Phi International Fraternity and Treasurer of the Pre-Law Association.  She was included on the University's Highest Honors List, was a recipient of the St. Mary's University Distinguished Leader Award, Department of Public Justice Excellence in Academics Award and Community Service Award for her volunteer work as a Probation Case Aid for Bexar County.  Ms. Flores was also a Mentor at the San Antonio Metropolitan Ministries Shelter, and completed an Internship with the Bexar County Juvenile Probation Department.

In 1999, Ms. Flores started law school at St. Mary's University School of Law.  During law school, Ms. Flores was a member of the Women's Law Association, Bexar County Women's Bar Association, St. Thomas More Society, Family Law Association and the American Bar Association.  She was selected as an alternate Staff Writer of "The Scholar: Law Review on Minority Issues", was a competitor in the Jenkens and Gilchrist Moot Court Competition and was named Best Speaker in 2 of 4 rounds.  Ms. Flores was named as a St. Mary's University Alumni Scholar and earned the St. Mary's Alumni Scholarship for Professional Studies.  While in law school, Ms. Flores worked as a Law Clerk for the Office of the Attorney General in the Child Support Division.

In 2003, Ms. Flores joined Vela & Del Fierro, PLLC as an Associate Attorney until 2007, at which time she opened a private law practice focusing on family law, estate planning and personal injury law.  Ms. Flores rejoined Vela & Del Fierro, PLLC in 2015 with the goal of continuing to provide quality legal services in the areas of family law, criminal law, personal injury law and estate planning.  Ms. Flores is currently licensed to practice law by the State Bar of Texas and is a member of the Family Law Section of the State Bar of Texas.
