Fatal car accidents can leave surviving family seeking answers

| Aug 6, 2019 | Car Accidents |

Lives are lost all too soon on many different occasions. Car accidents can quickly claim the lives of innocent individuals all because another driver acted negligently or recklessly. Though fatal crashes are not uncommon, they do not become any easier to bear for those who must now live without their loved ones.

It was recently reported that a head-on collision in Texas resulted in three fatalities. The incident took place around 11 p.m. when the driver of a vehicle heading north failed to maintain the correct lane. When the northbound vehicle crossed over the center line, it struck another vehicle head-on. There were two people in both vehicles at the time of the crash.

The two people in the northbound vehicle were reported as being a 29-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman. They both suffered fatal injuries. A 72-year-old man in the second vehicle was also killed in the crash. A woman in the second vehicle, whose age was not given, was taken to an area hospital, but her exact condition was not known at the time of the report. It was not detailed what factors may have contributed to the fatal incident.

After these types of car accidents, surviving loved ones often have many questions they want answered. Though information from police investigations can often help answer some of those questions, loved ones may still feel the need to seek justice. Though the driver of the northbound vehicle also died in this Texas crash, civil claims for wrongful death and personal injury could still come against that person’s estate if those affected feel it is appropriate.
