On a recent Monday morning in Texas, rescuers were dispatched to the scene of a truck accident on an overpass in Montgomery County. Two vehicles, a box truck and a tractor-trailer, were involved. The collision had disastrous results, which left one of the drivers in critical condition at a nearby hospital.

It was just after 8 a.m. when a big rig and a box truck collided as they traveled on the overpass. The impact of the collision caused the box truck to careen off the road and down over the bridge, landing in the traffic lanes below.

The collision caused immediate danger to all nearby travelers

Travelers atop and below the overpass were in serious danger immediately following the collision. Not only did the box truck hit the ground amid traffic below the overpass, the tractor-trailer was left dangling from the bridge with the driver still behind the wheel.

Thankfully, both drivers survived the Texas collision. However, the box truck driver was transported to a hospital for emergency treatment of severe injuries. Cases like this one often lead to litigation in civil court when damages occurred that were caused by driver negligence. State laws enable a recovering victim to seek financial recovery by filing a personal injury claim against the person deemed responsible for a truck accident.
